Vintage 1940’s/1950’s very hard to find and verry rare Old Reading Beer cooler door handle knob tap draft handle pull marker from Reading, Pennsylvania. It is made of black plastic Bakelite? The round 1 5/8″ diameter (without the mounting flange measured) plastic head has a yellow and red plastic insert that reads “Old Reading Beer” and on the bottom in small print “Pat. The back is marked “Patents Granted”. The insert is on a factory placed angle in relationship to the mounting flange. This side mount beer cooler handle tap knob flange extension has a square opening with no threads or threaded inserts. I believe it is is missing the hollow square angled stem that would fit onto the cooler door handle and slide into the Reading Beer handle marker. It is in excellent condition and displays beautifully with great luster and shine. It is a great item for the bar, man cave or game room or even as a shifter or other knob in a street rod.
