SUNSHINE BREWING PLAYMATE PREMIUM BEER Custom Draft beer can tap handle. After a lawsuit from The Playboy mansion in 1966 the brand was discontinued before it even hit the shelf. The ones that were made were ordered to be crushed. By 4 individuals on a conveyor belt swinging hammers. Thanks to one of them, maybe a hundred cans survived. The beer never made it to be bottled and several old stock labels have been recovered as well. They had 2 versions. Malt Liquor and Beer. They have become highly coveted cans for the beer can collector and their values can exceed a few thousand in today’s market. The labels iconic design was a combination of Playboy sexy inspired by Fredericks of Hollywood and 1950’s Vogue magazine cover. This handle has been custom made from a new Oskar Blues Brewing can blank. It comes new in original box as seen. It is in excellent condition. This can blank was sanded and painted silver then lightly sanded for effect. 2 real Playmate beer bottle labels were laminated and adhered to the tap. The unopened lid was removed form a donor Cape May craft can and affixed to the top. Only one ever made. It will stand out in any collection and get noticed. This unique tap marker resembles the actual size and weight of a real beer can. Stands 6-1/2 inches tall. Tap has been turned and rotated so that all sides are shown.
