RARE VINTAGE SCHLITZ MALT LIQUOR BULL draft beer tap handle. Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company. Originally founded by August Krug in 1849. Joseph took over in 1858 when he married the widow. The Beer That Made Milwaukee Famous. If you’re out of Schlitz… You’re out of beer! Defunct as of 1999. Schlitz was resurrected in mid 2000’s and can be found in certain markets. (Old Milwaukee Lager) Malt liquor. Pours a golden amber. We used to but the steel 24oz. Cans back in the late 70’s and bury them in the snow. This piece is dated 1987 an manufactured for the Stroh’s Brewery in Detroit. As far as taps go, it is now a fine vintage collectible. It is new and never used. A stylized statue of a bull and his horns. Looks like a pewter sculpture with built in patina. A silver band that looks like a choke collar holds all the information that you need and a photo of the prize bull himself. Lower section has a super shiny wood grain look. This tap is no bull! Not many seen looking this sweet! Stands just over 9 inches tall. You won’t find one nicer. (TORO is Spanish for BULL). Tap handle has been turned and rotated so all sides are pictured.
