Barley malt and floral hops. Katanas are the traditional name for the swords carried by the Samauri. This handle looks amazing! It is new and unused. Original box was flimsy. Beautiful silver like Samurai sword handle with golden Kirin highlights. 2 sides show Kirin Ichiban in white shaded letters and the opposite sides each have 5 gold diamonds in the design. Textured for a non-slip grip. Protective plate done in gold with special notches to catch the other guy’s sword tip. Finished with a bright chrome ferrule. Super cool and collectible. Stands 11 inches tall. FACTS: The Kirin depicted on the label is an ancient Chinese mythical creature that is the harbinger of good luck. Legend has it that when Confucius was born, a Kirin appeared before the eyes of his mother. Only Japanese Military Nobility were allowed to wear 2 katana swords. The Samurai soldiers were around from the 12th Century to the mid 1870’s when they were abolished. Tap has been turned and rotated so that all sides are pictured.
