VINTAGE OLYMPIA BEER PALE EXPORT CERAMIC PRESTIGE draft beer tap handle. Originally founded in 1896 by Friederich Schmidt as the Capitol brewing Company. In 1902 it was named Olympia. Miller was contracted recently by Pabst to brew this beer in California… 3-sided ceramic barrel with wooden upper pull and large brass ferrule. Created in the 1950’s and used well into the 60’s and 70’s. This tap is new in original box with instruction card and washer. Excellent condition and looks pristine but has some waxlike substance in one area that I did not try to mess with. (See close up in 3rd to last picture, shows up under the’A’). No cracks, chips or scratches on the barrel. Over 75 years old. Please view all photos as they are the best part of the description. Olympia called this style tap handle “Prestige”. This piece is original and now retired without benefits. The tap can be taken apart and barrels interchanged. Barrel graphics show the Good Luck golden horseshoe over the waterfalls with barley and grains on the outside. Olympia Beer and the horseshoe done in shimmering gold. Same vision appears on all 3 sides. Big brass ferrule is very clean. Stands 12 inches tall. Tap has been turned and rotated so all sides are pictured. I try to take great photos and write accurate descriptions so you can judge for yourself. Please look carefully at the photos, this is the actual item you will receive.
