LION BREWING LIONSHEAD ROARING LION FLAGSHIP draft beer tap handle. PENNSYLVANIA
LION BREWING LIONSHEAD FLAGSHIP BEER Draft beer tap handle. Lion Brewing has roots dating back to 1905 when it was first named Luzerne County Brewing. Changing to Lion Brewing in 1912. Brands like Gibbons, Bartel’s, Stegmaier and Esslinger. After 1993 there were a few different owners. It still operates today producing 5 core beers, a seasonal and Rootbeer. Premium beers brewed with todays technology. Cans and bottles found for sale but no kegs. Tap is listed as used. It remains in excellent condition with no wear noted. It has been on display and I feel safe to say it never poured a beer. A few tiny spots can be seen on the white area under the lion where the paint did not fill in. It was obtained a while back from a reputable collector/friend. The Lion has been a part of the beers labels since the beginning. Now in 3D on a tall white shaft with Lionshead done in blood red on both sides. The lion appears to have been hand painted and the finer details look rushed. Like it was made of clay by a stoner in high-school art class. Still really cool and rarely seen. Possibly from the late 90’s or early 2000’s. The next few designs have a different gold lions heads on a natural wood base. (Not to be confused with the foreign Lion Brewing). Now white ceramic with labels. It will tower over the rest of the taps and stand in your collection like a trophy. Tap handle has been turned and rotated so all sides are pictured.
