STONE COAST BLACK BEAR PORTER HOCKEY STICK AND PUCK draft beer tap handle. MAINE
STONE COAST BLACK BEAR PORTER HOCKEY STICK AND PUCK draft beer tap handle. Brewery was closed before most of you started collecting handles. Taxed out of business or possibly just mismanaged. Originally created as Sunday River Brewing in 1992 at the base of the ski resort in Bethel. Moving to Portland and becoming Stone Coast. Like the area itself it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The brewery was one of the early craft breweries to put their beer in cans back in 2004. They got so busy they asked for help bottling their beers from the Casco Bay brewery nearby. Beers were only distributed locally. Their super hoppy 420 IPA really put them on the map in the North West. Roasted malts with a hint of coffee and chocolate. Named after the University of Maines Division 1 hockey team who won championships in’93 and’99. Tap is listed as used. It remains in excellent condition but does show tiny marks in the middle of the white handle. See 2nd to last pic. Please view all 21 photos as they are the best part of the description. Part of my personal collection. A fiberglass hockey stick with an official size puck attached by 2 screws and wrapped with black tape. A cartoon black bear is beat up and tearing through the label. One of the tallest handles out there. Tap could be in excess of 20 years old and hard to come by. Stands a hair over 17 inches tall. Reweries are popping up all over the place and a select few advertise their Specialty beers with tap handles as nice as this one. Sometimes even factory handles have minor flaws. Tap handle has been turned and rotated so all sides are pictured. I try to take great photos and write accurate descriptions so you can judge for yourself. Please look carefully at the photos, this is the actual item you will receive. If the item has noticeable flaws, it will be mentioned in description. I usually respond quite fast. Always leave great feedback or contact me first. I will do everything I can to make things right.
